
We were asked by an industry analyst to evaluate the VoIP client experience of the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet. SIP clients were ported into a custom development environment. We mapped their integration experience in a matter of days and assessed the interface’s functionality and ease of use, as well as the clients’ needs and capabilities. Our findings were assembled into a guide for adapting the 770’s graphical user interface to these clients.
We then created a custom mobile application for the 770 to allow clients to browse database information with a minimum of clicks and without resorting to use of the on-screen keyboard. Our prototype was packaged according to Nokia guidlines and can install from a simple download onto any Nokia 770.
